Patient Groups

There is no comparison between the experience of going through cancer treatment alone and having the same experience in the supportive company of others. Exchange information and share concerns and feelings with others who are facing the same challenges. Increase your awareness of methods of maintaining control over what may seem like an uncontrollable situation.

Family and Friends Groups

Family & Friends groups include spouses, partners, parents, adult children, siblings, or close friends of someone with cancer. These groups focus on reducing stress through various skills, such as sharing ideas on supporting a loved one, the importance of self-care, and enhancing communication with loved ones. CSC recognizes that stress for family members can be as difficult as it is for the patient.

Children’s Corner

Every Wednesday | 5:30 - 7:00 pm
In-Person

This support group is for children ages 6-13 that have a parent or loved one facing cancer. Children will connect with others and share their experience through art, play, and games.

Early Stage Breast Cancer Patient Groups

Wednesdays | 11:30 am – 1:00 pm (Virtual on Zoom)

Breast Cancer is the most common cancer in women and when diagnosed early, is highly curable. This group is for women with early stage breast cancer and focuses on issues that are unique to breast cancer.

Armenian Cancer Support Group

Young Adult (ages 18-39) Patient and Survivor Group

Mondays | 6:00 - 7:30 pm (Virtual on Zoom)

This group is for those who are coping with issues that young adults face through their diagnosis and survivorship. Topics may include self-image, relationships, sexuality, fertility, mental health, education and employment. 

Men’s Support Group

Tuesdays | 10:30 am - 12:00 pm (Hybrid: Virtual & In-Person)

This support group is open to men diagnosed with cancer. This group provide a safe and confidential place to share experiences, concerns, and knowledge. 

Black Support Circle

First Thursday of Each Month | 7:00 - 8:30 pm (Virtual on Zoom)

This group is open to Black individuals who are impacted by cancer. Exchange information and share concerns and feelings with others who are facing the same challenges. Increase your awareness of methods of maintaining control over what may seem like an uncontrollable situation. 

Survivorship Group

Fourth Monday of Each Month | 6:00 – 7:30 pm (Hybrid: Virtual & In-Person)

Support group for survivors to address the lingering physical and emotional impact of the disease and long-term side effects of treatment

Bereavement Groups

These groups are for those who are coping with the recent cancer related death of a loved one within the past 12 months. This group focuses on learning to live with loss and moving forward in life.
