Meet Our New Psychosocial Navigator: Christian Reynolds

Every day, Cancer Support Community receives calls from people navigating some of the hardest moments of their lives. They are looking for help finding housing, accessing food assistance, paying medical bills, donating treatment supplies, or simply trying to figure out what resource to call next. While CSC does not provide these services directly, connecting people to the right support is a vital part of our mission. That’s where our new Psychosocial Navigator, Christian Reynolds, comes in.

Christian joins CSC with a rich background rooted in service, advocacy, and cross-cultural connection. Prior to joining our team, he worked directly with unhoused individuals, helping them secure stable housing and access essential resources. He has also worked in oncology settings and as a professional translator, experiences that have shaped his deep understanding of the emotional and practical challenges that accompany a cancer diagnosis.

Having completed part of his education in Mexico, Christian is fully fluent in Spanish and brings a bilingual, bicultural lens to his work with our community. He is currently studying Japanese on his journey to becoming trilingual—part of a lifelong love of learning and connection. Visiting Japan is at the top of his bucket list, reflecting his curiosity about the world and the people in it.

Beyond his professional experience, Christian brings a creative and holistic spirit to CSC. He practices tarot reading and creates natal charts and solar returns, interests that reflect his belief in reflection, storytelling, and finding meaning in life’s transitions. These qualities translate beautifully into his role as a compassionate listener and guide for our members.

As our Psychosocial Navigator, Christian’s role is to help anyone who needs resources or referrals. Whether someone is searching for financial assistance, community programs, transportation, or simply doesn’t know where to start, he is here to listen first and help map the next step. The hours he spends on the phone—researching options, making connections, and offering an empathetic ear—are a core part of CSC’s service. This work lives at the heart of our pillars of support, ensuring that no one faces cancer alone.

Christian will also play a key role in community outreach and partnership development for CSC. He will serve as our point person for building relationships—particularly in the Inland Empire and San Bernardino region, where we know cancer rates are higher and supportive resources are more limited. Strengthening connections with clinics, community organizations, and service providers in these areas will help us reach more individuals who might otherwise go without psychosocial support.

We are grateful to welcome Christian to the CSC family and excited for the care, vision, and collaboration he will bring to our community. If you or someone you love is in need of resources, please don’t hesitate to reach out—Christian is here to help you find the support you deserve.

Welcome to the team, Christian!
