What kinds of programs and support do you offer for people facing cancer?
We provide a wide range of free programs designed to support your emotional, physical, and mental well-being. These include weekly support groups led by licensed mental health professionals, one-on-one counseling, educational workshops each month with medical experts, healthy lifestyle classes like yoga and meditation, and uplifting social events. Our goal is to surround you with a community that understands and supports you. View our program calendar here.
Can my family members, friends and caregivers find support here too?
Yes. We welcome anyone impacted by cancer—patients, survivors, caregivers, family members, and friends. We know cancer affects everyone, and we offer dedicated groups and resources for each role in the journey.
Will it cost anything to take part in your programs and services?
Never. Every service we offer is funded by our community and provided at no cost to you.
What happens during my first visit, and how can I sign up for a support group or class?
During your first visit or orientation, you’ll meet our friendly staff, learn about the different programs available, and share your needs and goals. We’ll walk you through how to join groups, classes, or workshops and make sure you leave with a clear path forward. To get started, attend one of our weekly orientations—Tuesdays at 12:30 PM or Thursdays at 5:00 PM in person, or register online for our virtual option here. After that, we’ll guide you through an intake conversation to connect you with the programs and services that best fit your needs.
How soon can I start receiving support after reaching out?
Right away. Many people begin attending programs within a week of contacting us—sometimes even sooner, thanks to our multiple weekly orientations and ongoing support group schedule.
Do you offer programs in person, online, or both—so I can join in a way that works for me?
Both! Our center offers in-person programs, and many are also available online or in a hybrid format. That means you can participate whether you live nearby or far away.
Is there help for those coping with the loss of a loved one to cancer?
Absolutely. We offer grief support groups, individual counseling, and a caring community where you can share your loss, receive comfort, and begin to heal.
How can I get involved—by joining, volunteering, or donating?
You can donate online, by mail, or in person. Every contribution stays local, helping us provide free programs and services for people impacted by cancer. Click here to learn how you can get involved.
Where are you located, and can people outside your local area be part of your community?
We’re based in Sierra Madre, CA, and serve the Greater San Gabriel Valley and beyond—from Santa Clarita to San Bernardino (Inland Empire). Many of our programs are virtual, so you can join from anywhere.
Can I access recorded classes or workshops if I can’t attend live?
es. We have an on-demand library of 100+ recorded workshops, classes, and stress-relief programs available anytime on our website. View our library here.
