Calling All Volunteers
Cancer Support Community is always looking for volunteers to help in the areas below.
Administrative Support – Ongoing
Assist with various administrative tasks including internet research, filing, and occasionally running errands. Serve as an official voice of CSC by answering callers’ questions and forwarding calls to the appropriate staff member.
General Office Support – Ongoing
Assist with various projects including mailings, scanning, filing, organizing supplies, and shredding documents. The time commitment varies depending on the project.
Hand-Delivery Support – Ongoing
Assist with delivery of quarterly calendars of programs and events to local organizations, medical facilities, doctors’ clinics, and hospitals.
Program Support – As Needed
Lend expertise as an Educational Program guest speaker or instruct a healthy lifestyle class (e.g., meditation, poetry writing, yoga).
Outreach Support – As Needed
Assist with off-site programming at various locations. Represent CSC at health fairs or other events relevant to CSC’s philosophy, mission, and program.
Special Events – As Needed
Assist with annual fundraising events and donor receptions. Tasks range from helping plan the event, prepare for the event, and execute the event.
